Bell & Howell Becomes Dealer Systems Provider For General Motors' Access ProgramCLEVELAND, Oct. 15 -- Bell & Howell Publication Systems Company today announced it has become a dealer systems provider (DSP) for the General Motors' ACCESS program. An information management system used by GM and its dealers in the U.S. and Canada, GM ACCESS currently provides three dealer/corporate applications. The first, GM PROSPEC, provides comprehensive point-of-sale data such as product specs, pricing and competitive comparisons. The second, a vehicle locator, lets dealers search GM's national dealership inventory to find the exact model that matches customers' needs. Finally, through Lotus Notes, GM ACCESS provides smooth two-way communication between dealerships and General Motors .
