ACI-Carron Receives ISO-9001 Certification

    TROY, Mich., Oct. 14 -- American Commercial Industries, Inc.
(ACI) recently received ISO-9001 certification for its five ACI-Carron
division facilities, which are all located in Inkster, Mich.
    "ACI-Carron has always been a leader in state-of-the-art engineering,
benchmarking, designing and prototyping," said Larry O'Dowd, CEO of ACI.
"Through certification, it ensures customers that no matter which ACI-Carron
facility they work with, high quality standards are guaranteed."
    ACI-Carron provides engineering support from limited prototype part
fabrication to full ground-up prototype vehicle assembly.  Employing more than
500 people, the division offers a wide range of services from full-vehicle
testing to component-cycle testing and failure analysis.
    ISO-9001 is a quality systems standard developed by the International
Organization for Standardization, which was founded in 1964.  The system is
used by a variety of industries worldwide to create consistency in
manufacturing and service processes.
