Budget Offers United Mileage Plus(R) Premier(R) Members Extended-Cab Pickups for Just $25 a Day

    LISLE, Ill., Oct. 6 -- This fall, Budget Rent a Car is
offering United Mileage Plus Premier Members a coupon with their choice of an
extended-cab VIP Pickup with security trunk for just $25 a day or 15% off a
weekly rental of an economy through full-size car.
    United Mileage Plus Premier Members will find the Budget coupon in their
September Mileage Plus newsletter.  To use the coupon, United Mileage Plus
Premier Members simply mention at the time of reservation either rate code KF
for the $25 a day extended-cab pickup rental or BCD# U035800 for a 15%
discount off an economy through full-size car.  These offers, valid from now
until December 15, 1997, are in addition to the 500 Mileage Plus miles members
earn by renting from Budget.
    The all-new VIP Pickups feature the largest "trunk" in the industry and
come fully equipped with a top-of-the-line bed liner and locking fiberglass
cover from California-based SNUGTOP.  With 5,000 VIP Pickups in its fleet,
Budget is targeting value-minded leisure renters as well as corporate
travelers looking for more fun and excitement or additional trunk space for
equipment.

    Optional loss damage waiver $16.99 per day or less where available,
depending on vehicle class.  Offer valid at participating U.S. Budget
locations.  An airport access fee may apply at some airport locations.
California vehicle license fee not to exceed $1.12 per day and Hawaii vehicle
license and registration fee are extra.
    One day advance reservation required.  Offer valid at participating U.S.
Budget locations and subject to vehicle availability at time of rental.  Offer
not valid with CorpRate, government, tour/wholesale rates or with any other
promotional or discount offer.  Vehicle must be returned to renting location,
except as otherwise permitted.  Refueling services, taxes, loss damage waiver,
