Infiniti Division Sales Up 15.3 Percent Over Last Calendar Year; QX4 Boasts Best Month Ever With Sales Up 51.8 Percent
CARSON, Calif., Oct. 1 -_ Infiniti, the luxury division of
Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A. (NMC), recorded a 15.3 percent increase in
calendar year-to-date sales with total vehicle sales of 49,259 units. The
Division closed September with total sales of 6,191 units, up 16.8 percent
over last month.
The QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle had its best month ever with an
increase of 51.8 percent versus August. Total QX4 September sales were
1,940 units, with calendar year-to-date sales totaling 13,192. Infiniti's I30
luxury sedan led volume sales with 3,040 vehicles, and for the third straight
month topped the 3,000 unit mark. September I30 sales increased 18.9 percent
versus the same period last year. The Q45, Infiniti's flagship luxury
performance sedan, posted an 8.8 percent sales increase over last month with
905 units. The J30 personal luxury sedan recorded sales of 302 units.
Total NMC sales for September, including Nissan and Infiniti Divisions,
were 58,889 units. Combined calendar year-to-date sales for Nissan and
Infiniti Divisions were 578,365 units.
