Turbodyne Appoints Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President

     Turbodyne Technologies Inc. (``TURBODYNE'') announces the appointment of
Walter F. Ware as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President,
effective October 1, 1997.  Mr. Ware will also serve on the Board of
Directors.
     ``We are excited that someone with Mr. Ware's extensive industry
experience is joining the Turbodyne team,'' Edward M. Halimi, TURBODYNE's
Chairman & CEO stated. ``This completes a primary objective of the Board of
Directors to recruit a senior operating executive to manage the company's
expanding operations.''
     ``Mr.  Ware is uniquely qualified for this responsibility, bringing more
than 30 years of experience and relationships in the global automotive
industry,'' Mr. Halimi continued.  ``In his most recent position, Mr. Ware
served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Officer of Detroit Diesel
Corporation, one of the Penske Corporation companies. His addition to the
management team will also allow myself and other board members the opportunity
to continue to expand and explore upon the company's global opportunities.''
     In addition to his capacity as Executive Vice President and COO of the
parent corporation, Mr. Ware will immediately assume responsibility for the
operations of all TURBODYNE subsidiary companies, including the position of
President and Chief Executive Officer of Turbodyne Systems, Inc. and corporate
management responsibilities for its light metals division.
     In addition to Detroit Diesel Corporation, Mr. Ware spent more than 20
years of his career at Allied Signal Corporation's Garrett Automotive Group,
the leading global supplier of turbocharging systems.  While at Garrett, Mr.
Ware held several senior management positions within the United States and
European operations in addition to serving as Group Vice President, North
American Automotive Operations, Managing Director Garrett Automotive - Europe,
and Chief Technical Officer for the worldwide business.
     Mr. Ware is a mechanical engineering graduate of the Georgia Institute of
Technology and holds a Master of Science and a Master of Business
Administration Degree from West Coast University, Los Angeles.  Mr. Ware
serves as a Trustee of the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a Director
of Millenniavision Productions in the United Kingdom.
