Hertz Announces Its Florida 'Drive In' Program

    PARK RIDGE, N.J., Sept. 22 -- Hertz , the world's
largest car rental company, announces it new Florida "Drive In" Program, which
serves as an incentive to "drive in" vehicles from New York, New England, Mid-
West, North Central and Mid-Atlantic regions to Florida, with rates starting
at $17.99 per day and $89.99 per week.  The program applies to rentals on
bookings made for pick up October 13 through December 15, 1997.
    Customers can take advantage of this program by picking up a compact
through full-size vehicle at any one of the 36 designated Hertz airport
locations in major cities throughout the central and northeastern regions of
the U.S.
    Compact cars can be rented for as low as $17.99 per day and $89.99 per
week; mid-size cars can be rented for $19.99 per day and $99.99 per week;
full-size cars can be rented at $21.99 per day and $109.99 per week.  Florida
"Drive In" Program rentals cannot exceed 14 days.  When booking, customers
must mention the RQ Code OWFL.
    "We're excited about this program.  It allows us to offer our customers
the opportunity to drive south for the winter and benefit by renting from
Hertz with significant savings," said Brian J. Kennedy, Executive Vice
President, Marketing and Sales.
