Value Rent-A-Car Integrates With Alamo Rent A Car

    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 16 -- Alamo Rent A Car
announced today that all Value Rent-A-Car operations will be integrated into
Alamo Rent A Car by September 30, 1997.
    Beginning September 13, 1997, Value customers and travel agents calling
the 800-GOVALUE phone number, will hear a message that all Value Rent-A-Car
business will now be served by Alamo Rent A Car who will honor all existing
Value reservations and rates.  These include existing, U.S. and Canadian Value
tour vouchers and reservations.
    In order to direct and inform customers appropriately, direct signage will
be fully visible for customer convenience.  "During Value's integration into
Alamo, travel agents and their clients can feel confident that Alamo will
provide quality products at committed rates with exceptional customer
service," said Karen Beard, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for
Alamo Rent A Car.
    Alamo operates in 122 locations throughout the United States and Canada,
and in 150 international locations in the United Kingdom, the Republic of
Ireland, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Austria and
the Czech Republic.
