Mazda Narrows Search For New Advertising AgencyIRVINE, Calif., Sept. 12 -- Mazda narrowed its search for a new advertising agency to four finalists, the company announced today. The four agencies are: Deutsch, based in New York, N.Y.; GSD&M, based in Austin, Texas; Ogilvy & Mather, based in New York, N.Y.; and WB Doner, based in Detroit, Mich. Each of the finalists will be asked to prepare a final presentation for the review committee comprised of Mazda senior executives and representatives from the National Dealer Advisory Council. Presentations will be made during the week of October 13. Mazda will make its final selection of a new advertising agency by the end of October. Mazda North American Operations, formerly known as Mazda Motor of America, is responsible for the research and development, sales and marketing, and customer parts and service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States. Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., MNAO has approximately 850 dealerships nationwide and is owned by Mazda Motor Corporation, Hiroshima, Japan. SOURCE Mazda Information Bureau
