Federal-Mogul Awarded Diesel Fuel Lift Pump Contract From Stanadyne Automotive

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 10 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
has been awarded a contract to supply diesel fuel lift pumps to
Stanadyne Automotive for application in their Fuel Manager diesel fuel
filtration systems, announced Steven C. Feeny, Federal-Mogul general manager
of general products operations.  These electric fuel pumps are manufactured at
Federal-Mogul's Logansport, Indiana plant.
    "Stanadyne is a leader in diesel fuel injection system technologies and a
new customer for Federal-Mogul," said Feeny.  "This contract reflects our
commitment to grow our electric fuel pump business through innovative design
and application development."
    The Federal-Mogul Logansport manufacturing facility produces electric fuel
pumps in many variations including: turbine, gerotor, twin-impeller, roller
vane, rotary vane and solenoid pumps.  Federal-Mogul also manufactures
electric fuel delivery modules and hanger assemblies; and mechanical fuel
pumps and lift pumps.  Federal-Mogul fuel system components are marketed under
the Carter(R) brand name for both original equipment and aftermarket
customers.
