Thrifty Opens New Locations in Mexico and Martinique

    TULSA, Okla., Sept. 10 -- Thrifty Car Rental is blazing new
trails in Mexico and Martinique with three new locations in Lareto, Tijuana
and Monterrey, Mexico, and five new hotel locations in Martinique.
    In Mexico, Thrifty has expanded to 26 locations with the addition of a new
in-terminal location at Mariano Escobedo International Airport in Monterrey;
an in-terminal location at Gen. Abelardo L. Rodriguez International Airport in
Tijuana; and a suburban location in Lareto at Paseo Adolfo Lopez Mateo y
Rosendo Robles.
    Vehicles featured at these locations include the Dodge Stratus, GMC
Suburban, four-wheel drive Jeep Wranglers, minivans and a variety of Nissan
products.  Thrifty is located in nearly every major destination in Mexico,
with visitors from the U.S. accounting for about 50-60% of traffic into the
country.
    In Martinique, Thrifty grows to seven locations with the addition of five
new hotel locations at the following: The Hotel Baie du Galion; Club Med; the
Residence Grand Large; the Hotel Relais Caraibe; and the Hotel La Marina.
They join existing Thrifty facilities at Fort De France Airport and a suburban
location at Marina Pointe Du Pout.  Vehicles featured at these locations
include Toyota minivans, the Renault Twingo, Suzuki Samari and a variety of
Daewoo products.
    Travelers visiting locations in Mexico, Martinique, or any participating
Thrifty location in the Caribbean and Latin America, can take advantage of a
"Rent 2 days, get 1 free," or "Rent 5 days, get 2 free" special -- a savings
of as much as 33%.  The promotion, effective through Dec. 1, is available on
standard rates and may not be used in conjunction with any other offer.  Some
blackout dates may apply.  The offer is available to customers who print out a
special coupon located in the "Promotions" section of the Thrifty website at
