Detroit Diesel Corporation Announces Senior Management AppointmentsDETROIT, Aug. 28 -- The Board of Directors of Detroit Diesel Corporation today announced the appointment of Ludvik F. (Lud) Koci to Vice Chairman and Charles G. (Chip) McClure to President of DDC. Mr. Koci and Mr. McClure were also named to the newly-constituted Executive Committee, which includes Roger S. Penske, Chairman and Timothy D. Leuliette, Vice Chairman. Commenting on these appointments, Roger Penske stated, "Lud Koci's years of experience in the diesel engine industry have played a key role in guiding DDC from an $800 million division of General Motors to a $2 billion stand- alone company. We are fortunate to continue to benefit from his expertise while, at the same time, to have Chip McClure join the Detroit Diesel management team. Prior to this appointment, Mr. McClure was Vice President and General Manager of the Automotive Systems Group - North American Operations for Johnson Controls, Inc., a $4 billion group of businesses with 50 plants and 20,000 employees. He also held several positions of increasing responsibility for Ford Motor Company from 1979 to 1990, including General Manager, Ford Components. He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
