    MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 25 -- Excelsior-Henderson Motorcycle
Manufacturing Company announces the promotion of Dave Auringer
to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He joined the company in January
1997 as National Sales Manager.
As a member of Excelsior-Henderson's executive management team of
experienced business people and motorcycle enthusiasts, Auringer's new
responsibilities will include brand management for the company's Super X
heavyweight cruiser, development of a network of dealers, and advertising and
public relations.

new product introductions, has been a real asset to Excelsior-Henderson," said
the Hanlon brothers, Dan and Dave, cofounders of Excelsior-Henderson.
Prior to joining Excelsior-Henderson, Auringer was Regional Sales Manager
for Bombardier Corporation, a publicly traded company headquartered in Canada.
He was part of the original team that successfully launched Sea Doo personal

positions for Ski-Doo Snowmobiles, and Suzuki Motorcycle Corporation.
Excelsior-Henderson Motorcycle Manufacturing Company, a development stage

dealer network and plans to have dealers in the major population centers and
in the major motorcycling markets.

facility and headquarters in Belle Plaine, Minn., is nearly complete, with the
first year's Super X models rolling out in late 1998. Excelsior-Henderson
recently raised $30 million through a public stock offering, with its shares
now trading on Nasdaq under the symbol "BIGX".
