Sandra A. Bulger Named Executive Director of GM Government Activities Office In WashingtonWASHINGTON, Aug. 25 -- The appointment of Sandra A. Bulger as executive director of GM's government activities office in Washington, D.C., was announced today by George A. Peapples, GM vice president of corporate affairs. Bulger is currently assistant general tax counsel and general director of federal tax audits for GM, based in Detroit. In her new assignment, effective Sept. 1, Bulger will have responsibility for coordinating GM's federal government lobbying and advocacy activities, Peapples said. In this capacity she will be working closely with the issue teams of GM's Public Policy Center. "We're delighted to have Sandra join our team," Peapples said. "Her experience and leadership qualities will make her a valuable addition to our government activities organization in Washington." Bulger received a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Michigan State University and a law degree from the University of Michigan. She is a CPA, a member of the State Bar of Michigan and a member of the Detroit Chapter of the Tax Executives Institute. Bulger worked with the accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co. before joining GM in 1979. SOURCE General Motors Corporation
