    WARREN, Mich., Aug. 21 -- The Board of Directors of Michigan
Rivet Corporation declared a twelve cents ($.12) per share payable
September 30, 1997 to Shareholders of Record as of September 4, 1997.
    Michigan Rivet Corporation produces specialty fasteners for the automotive
industry.  Its manufacturing facilities are located in Warren and Petoskey,
Michigan.  Michigan Rivet's stock is traded on Michigan Over-the-Counter.
