Toyota Announces 1998 4Runner and T100 Prices

    TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 21 -- Toyota Motor Sales, USA (TMS),
Inc., today announced prices for its 1998 4Runner sport utility vehicle (SUV)
and T100 full-size pickup truck.
    Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 4Runner will increase
an average of $533, or 2.0 percent.  Prices will range from $20,558 for a two-
wheel drive (2WD) four-cylinder model with a five-speed transmission to
$34,618 for a four-wheel drive (4WD) Limited model with a V6 engine and four-
speed automatic transmission.
    Since its full-redesign for the 1996 model year, 4Runner has consistently
sold in record numbers thanks to its value, quality and Toyota reputation, and
continues to be the top-selling import SUV.
    For the T100, MSRP will increase an average of $288, or 1.3 percent.
Prices will range from $14,828 for a 2WD four-cylinder Standard-grade model
with a five-speed manual transmission to $25,298 for a 4WD V6 SR5 XtraCab with
four-speed automatic transmission.
    The T100 provides the interior room, cargo volume and towing capacity
necessary to make it the perfect step-up for the compact truck owner looking
for a larger truck with Toyota quality.
    Prices for the Tacoma compact pickup truck and Camry sedans were announced
previously.  Remaining model-prices will be announced later.
