Iacocca Selects Unique Mobility CEO for EVG BoardLOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 -- Lee Iacocca, founder and CEO of EV Global motors company (EVG), announced today his selection of Ray A. Geddes as a board member. Ray A. Geddes currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Unique Mobility, Inc. (Amex: UQM), the company which has formed a strategic partnership with EV Global to develop electric drive systems for light electric vehicles. After joining Ford Motor Company in 1961 as Sports Car Manager, Geddes was responsible for several high performance programs, including the World Championship Shelby Cobra, Mustang GT35O and GT500 and the mid-engine Ford GT LeMans racer. Geddes was also Executive Vice President of Ford's Italian product development group which included the Ghia Studios, Carrozzeria Vignale and DeTomaso Automobili, manufacturer of the mid-engine Pantera sports car. In addition, Geddes has been President of Gran Turisimo, Inc., as well as a product and marketing consultant to Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Corporation, Shelby American and Officine Alfieri Maserati S.P.A. Geddes is also Chairman of the Board of Taiwan UQM Electric Co., Ltd.; Treasurer and a Director of the Electric Vehicle Association of the Americas; a member of the International Steering Committee and Program Chairman for the 14th International Electric Vehicle Symposium; and a Director of the Washington D.C. based International Institute for Electric Transportation. Lee Iacocca commented, "Ray and I worked together for twenty years on several exciting projects and I have the greatest respect for the skill and expertise he brings to our new company." EVG is a company formed to develop and market Light Electric Transportation Systems (LETS). The company plans to design and market two-and three-wheel, single and multi-passenger vehicles powered by clean and quiet electric drive systems, with the first product introduction scheduled for 1998.
