Ford APO Buys Stake in Toledo Supplier

    TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 19 - Ford Motor Company's
Automotive Products Operations (APO) has increased its ownership in Toledo
Molding & Die, Inc. up to 35 percent.
    The joint venture between Ford APO and Toledo Molding & Die will enhance
cooperative efforts in developing the latest plastic component designs for
future Ford products and other customers in the automotive industry.
    The Toledo-based company has been a supplier to Ford since 1967 and
specializes in design and manufacture of injection and blow molded plastic
components, assemblies for climate control and air-handling systems, rapid
prototypes and injection and blow molding tools for the auto industry.  Toledo
Molding & Die, Inc. was started in 1955 as a pattern and model company.
