Brake Headquarters U.S.A., Inc. Announces Second Quarter Results

    LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y., Aug. 19 -- Brake Headquarters U.S.A.,
Inc. (the "Company") reported net income from operations of
$89,622 on sales of $15,553,806 for the six months ended June 30, 1997
compared with sales of $18,018,775 and income of $54,791 for the same period
ended June 30, 1996.  Even with a decrease in sales of $2,464,969 or
13.7%, net income increased by 63.5% or $34,831.  This was the result of cost
reductions and improved gross profit margins.
    The Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Sanyo Automotive Parts,
Ltd. has been engaged in business as a wholesaler of undercar parts since
1976.  Sanyo imports, assembles and distributes undercar parts to the
automotive after market industry.
