Federal-Mogul Appoints Mike Rist Plant Manager - Mooresville, IndianaSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug. 14 -- Michael C. Verwilst, general manager, engine and transmission products - Americas of Federal-Mogul Corporation , today announced the appointment of Mike Rist to plant manager of Federal-Mogul's Mooresville, Indiana facility. "Mike Rist has an excellent technical background and a full understanding of Federal-Mogul's constraint management process," said Verwilst. "His operational experience strengthens the Mooresville team." Rist joined Federal-Mogul in 1984 as a plant engineer at the Van Wert, Ohio seal manufacturing facility. During his tenure at Van Wert, Rist served as a foreman, technical support manager and product line manager. He most recently served as process manager at Federal-Mogul's Greenville, Michigan engine bearing manufacturing facility. Rist earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. Federal-Mogul's Mooresville, Indiana facility manufactures mono-metallic, bi-metallic and tri-metallic: half bearings, bushings, labyrith seals, tilt pad bearings and thrust rings. Mooresville produces over 18,000 part numbers for industrial and heavy duty applications for both original equipment and aftermarket customers. Materials used at Moorseville include bronze, steel, aluminum and babbitt with linings made from tin, lead, lead/tin/copper alloy, and nickel.
