Ducker Research Company and The Planning Edge Announce an Agreement To Form an Industrial Research and Analysis Company
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., Aug. 7 -- Ducker Research Company, a
major provider of industrial and automotive research, and The Planning Edge, a
recognized leader in the area of automotive analysis and information products,
announced today the formation of a new information products firm called
Industrial Standards, Inc.
Industrial Standards, which is a 50%-50% joint venture between Ducker
Research Company and The Planning Edge, will provide syndicated and
proprietary information products aimed toward the industrial materials and
components markets. A wide array of publications will cover industries such
as glass, roofing, lighting, auto parts and robotics. "Industrial Standards
will provide modern manufacturers with the specialized future-oriented
information that they need to stay ahead of their competition," said Kathleen
Rizk, Managing Partner at The Planning Edge. She added, "Businesses must have
quality information that allows them to combine the wants and desires of their
ultimate consumer with the needs of the overall supply chain. Industrial
Standards will provide this type of forward-thinking information."
Work has already begun on several syndicated products with the publication
of the first report on roofing set for the end of August. All of Industrial
Standards' reports will include sections that explain current and future
applications for each industrial material or component. In addition, special
sections will identify consumer trends and areas of opportunities with some
results shown in an index style format. With an unparalleled combination of
industrial materials and component knowledge, syndicated report experience and
analysis capabilities, Industrial Standards will produce premium information
reports for key industries.
Industrial Standards is located in Troy, Michigan. The Planning Edge is
also based in Troy, Michigan, while Ducker Research Company is located in
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
