Inalfa Hollandia, Inc., American Commercial Industries Finalize Joint Venture Agreement

WARREN, Mich., Aug. 6 -- Inalfa Hollandia, Inc., and American
Commercial Industries' (ACI) Specialty Stampings Inc. division today announced
the joint venture agreement to form Inalfa SSI Roof Systems has been
finalized. The announcement was made by Joseph R. Corace, president & CEO of
Inalfa Hollandia, and Larry O'Dowd, CEO of ACI.
"Our partnership with ACI has allowed us to significantly enhance the
manufacturing process in our roof-prep operations," Corace said. "The joint
venture allows us to compete from a cost and quality control standpoint and
enhances our ability to add value for our customers throughout the supply
chain. We have always had a good working relationship with SSI, and look
forward to a successful partnership."
Inalfa SSI Roof Systems and ACI invested in state-of-the-art manufacturing
equipment, and the roof-prep line was recently redesigned to provide maximum
process flow efficiency. Multiple robots have been stationed throughout the
line to help reduce the number of procedures during roof preparation.
"The addition of our new robots is a reflection of our common drive to
continually increase our product efficiency and quality and help to separate
us from the competition," O'Dowd said. "As joint venture partners, we are
well positioned to benefit from the technological advancements we have
supplied as a team."
Inalfa SSI Roof Systems will provide all roof preparation work for Inalfa
Hollandia, one of North America's largest producers of sunroofs for the
automotive industry. Sunroof roof preparation involves manufacturing a
stamped structural assembly flanged to the vehicle roof. The roof is then
shipped to the OEM manufacturing facility where the sunroof is installed.
Inalfa SSI Roof Systems will operate from the existing SSI facility in
Warren, Mich. The facility, which has 150 employees, specializes in OEM roof,
sunroof and niche vehicle stampings, and has supplied Inalfa Hollandia with
roof preparations since 1987. Its flexibility in stamping, welding and
assembling provides a competitive edge over traditional metal forming
companies.
The joint venture management team for Inalfa SSI Roof Systems will consist
of:

    * Joe Corace - Chairman of the Board
    * Larry O'Dowd - Chief Executive Manager
    * Will Jacobs - General Manager
    * Fred Welschen - Board Member
    * George Hofmeister - Board Member
