Murry Feldman Hosts Fox 2 Automotive Hall of Fame Grand Opening Gala On August 9SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug. 5 -- Its mission is to educate, to inspire and to give visitors of all ages insight into the sheer genius of the motor vehicle industry. "It" is the Automotive Hall of Fame, the grand opening gala for which will be aired live Saturday, August 9, 1997, 6:30 p.m. on WJBK FOX 2. Hosted by FOX 2 money reporter Murray Feldman, the FOX 2 AUTOMOTIVE HALL OF FAME GRAND OPENING GALA truly will be an evening of elegance for the more then three-hundred international auto industry couples in attendance. Auto industry and labor dignitaries such as Chrysler's Robert Eaton, General Motors' Jack Smith, Ford Motor Company's Alex Trotman and UAW President Steve Yokich, along with government officials such as Governor John Engler, Wayne County Executive Ed McNamara and Congressman John Dingell and other notables were key participants in the development of this special celebration. "We are proud that FOX 2 was asked to play a role in bringing the Automotive Hall of Fame to life for our community," stated FOX 2 Vice President/General Manager James Clayton. "This event speaks volumes about the importance of the auto industry to this region, and we are pleased to commit our resources to spread that wonderful message."
