Goodyear Declares Dividend 

    AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 5 -- Directors of The Goodyear Tire &
Rubber Company today declared a regular quarterly dividend of 28 cents per
share payable September 15 to shareholders of record August 18.  The dividend
payout represents an annual rate of $1.12 per share.
