Kia Unveils Website

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 4 -- Kia Motors America goes On-line
today with the debut of its internet website (http://www.kia.com).
Kia's website features easy-to-access company and vehicle information.
Consistent with Kia's communication style, the new website uses humor and
straight-talk to relay the company's reliability and durability messages.
Consumers can explore Kia's history dating back to its bicycle-building
days in 1952, as well as learn about current vehicle features and
specifications. To support Kia's claims of manufacturing well-built vehicles,
tear-down results of the Sephia's 200,000-mile obsessive testing against the
Toyota Corolla, along with highlights of Kia's motorsports accomplishments are
depicted. In addition, the site features customer testimonials and feedback
from media test drives. Potential customers can locate dealers and order
brochures as well.
"The website, I think, demonstrates that we take our business seriously,
but we don't take ourselves too seriously," said Greg Warner, Kia's executive
vice president and chief operating officer.
Kia is in the midst of its market-by-market roll-out and currently sells
its Sportage sport-utility vehicle and Sephia compact sedan at more than
270 dealerships in 28 states.
Kia Motors America is the U.S. sales, marketing and distribution arm of
Kia Motors Corp. in Seoul, South Korea.
