Textron Acquires KaywoodCompany Will be Added to Automotive Segment PROVIDENCE, R.I., July 28 -- Textron today announced the acquisition of Kaywood Products Corporation of Jackson, Michigan, makers of precision machined parts and components for assembled camshafts. Terms were not disclosed. Assembled camshafts are lower in weight and the precision technology also helps with today's compact multi-valve engines. In 1996, Kaywood had revenues of $3.9 million. The acquisition will be added to CWC Textron, a worldwide leader in automotive camshaft castings, based in Muskegon, Michigan. CWC Textron is a division of Textron Automotive Company, Troy, Michigan. "This acquisition will complement CWC Textron's product mix and improve its ability to meet customers' camshaft requirements," said John Janitz, Chairman, President and CEO of Textron Automotive Company.
