    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 28 -- Howell Industries, Inc.
(AMEX: HOW), Masury and Lordstown, Ohio facilities have achieved
QS-9000/ISO-9001 compliance and have been registered by Entela, Inc. Quality
System Registration Division, an accredited, third-party registrar based in
Grand Rapids, Mich.
    Howell Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of metal chassis components and
assemblies for the automotive industry, is now a totally registered
corporation to QS-9000/ISO-9001.
