Horton Reaches Milestone: The Manufacture of the Company's Two Millionth Fan Clutch

    MINNEAPOLIS, July 15 -- Horton, Inc., the world's leading
manufacturer of on/off fan clutches, celebrated a milestone in its history:
the manufacture of the company's two millionth fan clutch.
    The two millionth fan clutch was manufactured in Britton, S.D., where the
Horton plant is located.  Horton's fan clutches were first produced in 1966.
Its millionth fan clutch was manufactured in 1992.  Although it took 26 years
for the first million fan clutches, in contrast it took less than 5 years for
Horton to manufacture its two millionth.
    Horton marked the occasion with a special event in Britton, S.D.  Horton
executives made a presentation and recognized plant employees.
    Horton, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of:  motion control systems for
industrial applications; engine cooling systems and other components for
diesel-powered vehicles; and web control systems for printing and conversion
of paper, film, foil and fabrics.  The privately held firm has been based in
