Lear Corporation's GM Division Announces Vice President AppointmentsSOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 15 -- Lear Corporation today announced the promotions of Eric Kozlowski, Dennis Kudej, Miguel Herrera-Lasso and Joe Zimmer to Vice Presidents of the company's GM Division, effective immediately. Eric Kozlowski is appointed Vice President of Worldwide Engineering for Lear's GM Division. In his new position, Kozlowski will continue to support platform engineering, as well as focus on advanced NAO interior system opportunities for the GM Division. Kozlowski, who joined Lear in 1984 as manager of the company's Testing and Development Lab, most recently served as Director of Engineering for the GM Division. Prior to that, he served as Business Unit Manager at Lear's Ford Division and, previously, served as General Manager at the Progress Pattern machinery and tooling facility. Kozlowski holds a Masters in Business Administration from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. He and his wife, Nancy, reside in Shelby Township along with their three daughters. Dennis Kudej is appointed Vice President - Small Car Group for the GM Division. In his new position, Kudej will continue to lead the Small Car Group and focus on future launches. Kudej, who joined Lear in 1989 as Plant Manager for the company's Fenton, Michigan facility, most recently served as JIT Director for the GM Division. Previously, he was Plant Manager at the Lordstown, Ohio facility and, prior to that, served as Plant Manager at the Detroit facility. Prior to joining Lear, he spent 30 years at General Motors Corporation in various management positions, the latest as Focus Operations Manager at the Livonia Trim Plant. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from Madonna University. He and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Bloomfield Hills. Miguel Herrera-Lasso is appointed Vice President of Sales - Worldwide. In his new position, Herrera-Lasso will be responsible for the sales and marketing of interior systems for Lear's GM Division worldwide. Herrera-Lasso, who joined Lear in 1984 as Sales Manager for the company's Tlahuac, Mexico plant, most recently served as Director - Latin American Operations for the company's GM Division. Prior to that, he served as Director - Mexican Operations, and previously, served as Plant Manager at the Tlahuac plant. Herrera-Lasso holds a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from IBEROAMERICANA University, A.C. in Mexico City and a post- graduate degree in International Business from Itam University in Mexico City. He and his wife, Hortensia, reside in Bloomfield Hills, along with their two daughters and one son. Joe Zimmer is appointed Vice President J.I.T. Operations - Truck Group for the company's GM Division. In his new assignment, Zimmer will continue to lead the Truck Group and focus on future launches for the GMT-800 Program at Lear's J.I.T. plants. Zimmer joined Lear in 1985 as Account Manager and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Business Unit Manager for the company's GM Division; Manager - Truck Group for the Ford Division; Director of Operations - Ford Division; Director Special Vehicle Platform - Ford Division; and, most recently, Truck Platform Director - GM Division. Zimmer holds a BBA from Northwood University. He and his wife, Lisa, reside in Northville, along with their three sons.
