Hayes Wheels International Receives Citroen Contract

    ROMULUS, Mich., July 15 -- Hayes Wheels International, Inc.
has received a contract to supply cast aluminum wheels for the
Citroen ZX passenger car, beginning with the 1998 model year.
    The wheels will be produced at the company's manufacturing facility in
Dello, Italy, for shipment to the automaker's assembly plants in France and
Spain.  Shipment is expected to begin this month.

operations.  "The addition of the Citroen ZX to the list of high-profile
nameplates we supply -- including Alfa Romeo, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche
