Porsche U.S. Sales Up 90% Year-to-Date

                     June Increase Is 81% Over June 1996

    RENO, Nev., July 3 -- Porsche sales in the United States were
up 90% over the first half of 1996, according to figures released today by
Porsche Cars North America.  June 1997 numbers reflected an increase of 81%
over the same month a year aqo.
