Summer Is Hot As Infiniti Posts June Increase of 55.9 Percent; I30 Leads Division SalesCARSON, Calif., July 1 -_ June sales for Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., increased a substantial 55.9 percent versus the same period last year. Total June sales were 4,829 units. Infiniti calendar year-to-date sales also increased with total sales of 30,483, up 17.6 percent. The I30 continued to be the volume sales leader, recording 2,423 units in June, an increase of 48.8 percent versus the same period last year. The I30 posted a 13.2 percent increase versus last month. The QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle posted June sales of 1,323 units. QX4 calendar year-to-date sales totaled 8,341. June sales of the redesigned Q45, Infiniti's flagship luxury performance sedan, totaled 650 units. The J30 personal luxury sedan turned in monthly sales of 424 units. Total Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A. sales for June, including Nissan and Infiniti Divisions, increased 11 percent versus June 1996, with 66,705 units sold. Also posting an increase were Nissan and Infiniti Divisions combined calendar year-to-date sales, recording total units of 389,760, up 8.6 percent.
