Federal-Mogul Appoints Al Houser Plant Manager - Frankfort, Indiana
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 30 -- Michael L. Fisher, general
manager, oil seal and gasket operations of Federal-Mogul Corporation
today announced the appointment of Al Houser to plant manager of
Federal-Mogul's Frankfort, Indiana manufacturing facility.
"Al Houser has a very impressive background in the management of world
class manufacturing environments," said Fisher. "His strong operational
experience in just-in-time pull systems and kanban visual controls compliments
our constraint management process."
Houser joins Federal-Mogul from Price Pfister where he served as director
of manufacturing systems with responsibilities for plants in Mexico and
California. Prior to that, Houser was with Eaton Corporation where his most
recent position was project manager for a joint venture program in Shanghai,
China. During his 17 year career at Eaton, Houser held various key management
positions, including plant manager, at manufacturing facilities in Kentucky,
Colorado, Illinois, North Carolina and Nebraska.
Houser earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Illinois State
University where he also earned his Master of Business Administration,
graduating with honors.
Federal-Mogul's Frankfort, Indiana facility manufactures a variety of
automotive, heavy duty and industrial oil and grease seals. The facility also
manufacturers Unipistons sealing products for the automotive industry and is
the primary rubber polymer producer for Federal-Mogul's sealing operations in
the United States and Mexico.
