Pre-owned Volvos Offer Best Value, According to IntelliChoice

    ROCKLEIGH, N.J., May 8 -- IntelliChoice, an independent
research firm, has determined something that Volvo owners have known for a
long time: pre-owned Volvos offer top value.
    The Volvo 960 was named the 1994-96 Best Overall Carline Value in the
study, which considered factors such as depreciation, maintenance, and
insurance costs.
    Volvo took first and second place in the 1994-96 Best Luxury Car Value,
with the 960 and 850 models respectively coming in ahead of all competitors in
the luxury segment.
    "It's wonderful to be recognized for the quality of our pre-owned
vehicles," reflects Helge Alten, president and CEO of Volvo Cars of North
America, Inc. "However, with the release of this news, I can't help but
sympathize with the used car shoppers who are already having a difficult time
finding a Volvo whose owner is willing to part with it!"
