Saab Announces Free Flight Deal

28 March 1997

50th Anniversary Gift To Saab Buyers: Two Free Flights To Europe with International Delivery

Two Free Round-Trip Tickets to Sweden, Germany or France and Up to
10 Percent Price Discount Are Part of Saab's Spring International
                                Delivery Program

NORCROSS, Ga., March 27 -- Saab automobiles have a long list
of standard features that few competitors can match. This spring, a 1997 Saab
purchased through Saab's European Delivery program comes with up to 10 percent
price savings and an additional standard feature: a free flight to Europe for
two. Courtesy of Saab's International and Diplomat Sales (IDS) program for a
limited time, anyone who orders a Saab for European delivery will receive a
voucher for two SAS round-trip airline tickets to Paris, Frankfurt, or
Gothenburg, Sweden.
Saab enthusiasts who order a new Saab 900 five-door, Coupe or Convertible
or Saab 9000 in the U.S., drive it abroad, and have it shipped back home to a
local dealer can save as much as 10 percent off U.S. manufacturer suggested
retail prices (up to approximately $4,000 on a 1997 Saab 900 SE Convertible),
in addition to the free trip to Europe. This promotion is especially
attractive to Saab buyers who may want to attend Saab's 50th Anniversary
festivities July 17-20, 1997 in Trollhattan.
To make this special offer a reality, Saab shoppers need only order a new
Saab through the automaker's IDS program prior to May 31, 1997, and take
delivery of the car in Europe by Oct 31, 1997. Tickets are issued by SAS
Airlines, round-trip from either Newark, Chicago or Seattle, and available
seats are limited (airfare to and from these three departure cities is the
responsibility of the customer).
The Saab International Delivery experience has always offered exceptional
value to Europe-bound travelers. The year-round IDS program includes delivery
of the car in Trollhattan, Sweden, free of charge, or in 11 other European
cities for an additional fee. Home shipment is free. There is no charge when
the car is dropped back off in Trollhattan or Bremerhaven, Germany. Other
European drop-off locations are possible for an additional inland transport
fee. The car's price includes ocean freight, marine insurance, U.S. duty,
customs clearance, port fees and inland freight to a U.S. Saab dealership.
Buyers who begin their IDS experience in Trollhattan are treated to a VIP
program that includes transportation from the Gothenburg airport to Ronnum's
Manor hotel, a traditional Swedish country inn, and one night of free lodging.
Dinner and breakfast are also courtesy of Saab, as is a tour of the historic
Saab Museum, site of an all-new IDS delivery center. Dedicated just last
year, the center offers an exceptional beginning to the Saab ownership
experience. Saab staff at the center also assists new owners with recommended
driving itineraries and information about first-class Countryside Hotels,
located throughout Scandinavia, which offer a 50 percent discount to Saab IDS
customers.
Information on Saab's special European Delivery Adventure promotion is
