Loy Allen Update; Trickle to drive in relief.

Loy Allen sustained a broken shoulder as a result of his wreck last Sunday in the Goodwrench Service 400. Allen was also unconscious for a period of time as rescue workers extracted him from his car. He regained consciousness before he was removed from the car and flown to the Carolinas Medical Center for tests. Loy is alert and his recovery is underway.

It has been reported that Dick Trickle will drive the HealthSource Thunderbird this weekend in Richmond. Arrangement are for this race only.

Trickle qualified the Schnell Motorsports - Purina High Pro Thunderbird for the Daytona 500 and finished 43rd after completing only 9 laps before his engine failed. The Schnell team is preparing for their next race which has not yet been announced.
