RICK MAST - 1- Hooters Grand Prix - Qualified 31st
BOBBY HAMILTON - 43- STP Grand Prix - Qualified 24th"Not good. Not good. I thought we got it loosened up, but we haven't gotten it loose enough. It pushed both laps and in both turns."
KYLE PETTY - 42- Coors Light Grand Prix - Qualified 41st"I don't know if we're good, bad, or ugly. It's just hard to tell based on qualifying. It's about what we thought the car would do. This is the 'concrete car' and it qualifies about 30th everywhere we go, but it's always up front in the race. We were hoping we could get on the front straightaway to get up front quicker, though. This is the same car we went to Dover with and ran good. We put a new Pontiac body on it and it ran real good at Rockingham this year. We think we've got a few bugs worked out of it, too."
"We've made a lot of changes to try and make it better and nothing's worked so far. That's what's frustrating about it. We've got a couple more things we can try, so hopefully one of those will work."
WARD BURTON - 22- MBNA Grand Prix - Qualified 12th
"We're still having a problem with being a little tight. The first lap was pretty good, and I was pretty happy with a .70. But the second lap I got to pushing real bad. That's why I slowed down."
JOHNNY BENSON - 30- Pennzoil Grand Prix - Qualified 39th
"The car is doing everything right now. It's not as smooth as we want, but we've got a couple more things we want to try and we just haven't gotten to them."
