Loy Allen continues to recover at his home in Raleigh, and doctors say everything is progressing as it should. Allen was given the OK to begin "working out" on a limited basis, and he began walking on the treadmill and riding the stationary bike last weekend."I feel better each day," said Allen this week. "I can't wait to get my strength back so I can get in that race car again." Doctors aren't giving any dates as of yet, but Allen hopes to be back in the driver's seat sometime this summer.
In team news, Peter Sopenzo, has been named crew chief, being promoted from within the TriStar Motorsports organization. The crew chief position became available when Jeff Hammond announced earlier this week that he was returning to Darrell Waltrip Motorsports to become Waltrip's Team Manager.
