F2000: Jason LaPoint signs with Richard Morgan/M.A.R.K Racing

FAIRFIELD, N.J. --Jason LaPoint, the 2000 Star Mazda
"Rookie of the Year" and 1999 Shifter Kart "Moto World Champion", has
announced he will drive in the U.S. F2000 National Championship Presented by
Speedvision in 2001.
LaPoint, has joined efforts with M.A.R.C.K. Racing and Richard Morgan Racing to contest the 2001 season. The team will run a new 2001 Van Diemen chassis powered by Quicksilver engines. LaPoint is excited about the upcoming season.
"I packed my Trackmagic Shifter Kart and some clothes in my mini van and drove from San Francisco to Jacksonville, Florida", said LaPoint. " I would like to thank M.A.R.C.K Racing, Alan Green, and Richard Morgan for making this happen. We put together the best team possible. I am excited about the team, the season, and Winning Races!"
Later this year, LaPoint hopes to make his CART Toyota Atlantic Series debut. Driving for World Speed Motorsports, LaPoint is scheduled to race at Road America, Houston and Laguna Seca.
Do not miss America’s Brightest Young Talent, Jason LaPoint, when he races in his first F2000 event, March 3, 2001, at Homestead, Flordia. The race will take place on the 2.21-mile road course, as part of the Grand-Am Nextel 250, and will be broadcast on The Speedvision Network!
