Miami - LINE-X, the No. 1 rated Spray-On Truck Bedliner,
was today named the
Official Truck Bedliner of the Trans-Am Series. The announcement was made
by
Bob Wild, vice president of marketing for the Panoz/Sanchez Group.
"We are delighted that Line-X developed a multi-dimensional sponsorship with Claudio Burtins racing team and the series," said Wild. "By building partnerships with outstanding companies like LINE-X, the Trans-Am Series continues to prove that it is North Americas premier road racing series."
Burtin, a veteran Trans-Am Series driver, will be making his 26th career start in a brand-new Panoz Esperante at Sebring on March 16. Burtin appeared in eight races during the 2000 season and finished a career-best fourth at Long Beach.
Southern California-based LINE-X is the fastest growing spray-on truck bedliner company in the industry, thanks in part to a superior product and a dynamic franchise program available throughout the United States and abroad. LINE-X is an innovator of sprayed-on polyurethane elastomer technology - tough proprietary coatings used to protect everything from metals to concrete against chemicals, solvents, fuels, etc. LINE-X exhibits the highest tensile strength, the highest tear strength and the highest abrasion and is the only bedliner company that develops and manufactures its own materials, ensuring consistency and quality control.
Accessories such as bed lids, camper shells, fiberglass tops, fifth-wheel hitches, tie downs and utility boxes fit in the truck bed because LINE-X molds to every contour and does not interfere with accessory installation. In addition, a LINE-X bedliner will add to a trucks resale value. According to the NADA Official Used Car Appraisal Guide, a LINE-X bedliner adds over $200 in trade-in value.
"The demographics, race schedule and television package of the Trans-Am Series are a perfect fit for LINE-X," said Gary Johnson, president of Millennia Public Relations and Advertising, the company that structured the agreement between LINE-X and the Trans-Am Series. "The LINE-X racing team is on a national tour this year that includes stops at some of the more than 400 LINE-X dealers nationwide. We are using the races of the Trans-Am Series as the focal points of the LINE-X Tour and expect to garner a return of many times our sponsorship investment."
The Team LINE-X National Tour begins in Sebring, Fla., in March. The tour is expected to travel more than 36,000 miles while crisscrossing its way across the country in conjunction with the Trans-Am Series and will be seen by more than a million racing enthusiasts and the general public.
