FAIRFIELD, N.J.--The U.S. F2000 National Championship Presented by Speedvision announced today contract extensions with Ford and Sunoco Race Fuels.

Ford has renewed its contract with the U.S. F2000 for the 2001 season. Ford has provided financial and technical support to the series since 1993 and continues to be the sole engine manufacturer for North Americas premier open-wheel training series.

"Ford is delighted to continue its association with the U.S. F2000 National Championship," said Greg Specht, Ford North American Racing Manager. "By supporting entry level professional racing, Ford ensures that the future of motorsports in North America will remain bright."

"The U.S. F2000 National Championship is excited to continue its association with Ford," said Formula Motorsports co-owner Mike Foschi. "The Ford two-liter power plants have proven to be durable, reliable and cost-effective, thus ensuring great racing."

Sunoco, which has been the official fuel of the U.S. F2000 series since 1993, has renewed its contract for another three years, through the 2003 season. The largest manufacturer of racing fuel in the world, Sunoco will provide a spec fuel at each U.S. F2000 event as well as financial assistance for operations.

"We've been very pleased with our involvement in the U.S. F2000 National Championship," said Art Brown, Technical Operations Manager of Sunoco Race Fuels. "As the worlds premier racing fuel, Sunoco is very excited to play a role in the development of the worlds best young drivers as they move up the motorsports ladder."

"There is a reason Sunoco is the largest race fuel producer in the world," said Formula Motorsports co-owner, Dan Andersen. "Sunoco products are the very best, and they continue to provide us with an even playing field in the series."
