It will also become sponsor the Pat Schauer Memorial Rookie of the Race Award, presenting $250 to the highest finishing registered rookie award at each event.
"We are well aware of the status that being with the premier short track stock car series in America brings with it," said VP Racing Fuels President Fred Morrison. "We are proud to be taking a more prominent role in our relationship with ASA and look forward to continuing with it for several years.
"VP can trace its history back to Mark Martin in ASA," said Morrison. "When Mark was racing in ASA, he used VP Fuel all those years ago. We have also had some history with other ASA racers over the years, including the Zero Hero Tom Jones."
VP Racing Fuels will be on-hand and ready to provide full service to the teams at the series-opening ASA Racing 300 in St. Augustine (FL) on February 16-17, 2001. The spec fuel for the series will be a street legal 93 (R=M/2) octane unleaded gasoline.
