CHARLOTTE, NC - The following quote is from Jason Leffler
regarding the 2001 racing season.
"I greatly appreciate the opportunity that MBNA and the Gibbs team gave me to drive their car in 1999 and 2000. However, I had no contract or commitment from the Gibbs team for a job after the 2001 season. My goal has always been to race Winston Cup and now I will be able to pursue that dream. I will miss my friends and teammates at Joe Gibbs Racing."
