Line-X Spray-On Truck Bedliners Renews Full Corporate Sponsorship of Team

Cartersville, GA--BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series veteran driver Claudio Burtin and Burtin Engineering willl return to the series in 2001 sporting a new look and a new Panoz Esperante. Burtin will field the new Esperante race car and engine package and Line-X Spray-On Truck Bedliners has renewed its title sponsorship of the team. Sixteen-year racing veteran Gary Selix will return as crew chief and chief mechanic.

"I am highly optimistic about our chances this year and excited to be running the new Esperante in 2001," Burtin said. "I have been running older equipment these past several years and am looking forward to racing the first-class package by Dr. Panoz and his Elan Motorsport Technologies. I feel that the new package makes us a genuine contender and we have a real shot at the championship. I am very confident we will have a number of podium finishes this year."

The entire Line-X racing team will sport an updated graphic scheme to reflect the power and excitement of the new car program and the success of Line-X as the leader in its market. The Line-X racing team and race car will debut in Sebring in March and carry the newly-designed yellow, red and black Line-X graphics on everything from the transporter to the race car, crew uniforms and support vehicles. The team will run the entire 2001 Trans-Am Series season.
