Blow the cobwebs out of your carburettors with the MSA Motorsport Classic Experience on 30/31 March 2001.
A two-day run for classic cars around the glorious British countryside, providing the opportunity to drive at six of the finest motorsports venues, and participate in an entertaining motoring quiz night hosted by Graham Robson.
Forget those winter blues, and start your summer with a blast: take your classic out to enjoy some of the UK's greatest driving experiences. The two-day MSA Motorsport Classic Experience starts on Friday 30 March from Goodwood, where participants will have the opportunity to do their first laps of the weekend around the classic circuit caught in a 50s time-warp.
A picturesque countryside cruise later and the runners will be able to experience the unique thrills of Thruxton. The final stop of the day is for the Gurston Down hillclimb. Gurston is one of the UK's finest hillclimbs, featuring twice in the British championship, and represents an unique set of challenges for the drivers. Graham Robson is host for a motoring quiz night for the overnight stop at Castrol's Swindon HQ - his encyclopaedic knowledge will be enough to challenge us all!
Day two opens with the Colerne Sprint, where the participants will again be able to try their skills around the circuit. The second stop is the popular Castle Combe race track. Castle Combe recently had two chicanes added, increasing the challenge of a good lap. The event is rounded off with a final opportunity to clear out any remaining cobwebs at the Bugatti Owners Club's Prescott hillclimb in the Cotswolds.
With acres of space for overtaking on circuits, and cars run individually at the hillclimbs and sprint, there is ample opportunity for everyone to have a great weekend at speeds well within the limit of the drivers and vehicles.
Any car manufactured before 1 January 1981 is now eligible to enter these runs, including cars such as the Audi Quattro, Lancia Delta, front-wheel drive Vauxhall Cavalier and Citroen Visa Super E!
