Louisiana - Mario Andretti in conjunction with Fantasy
Racing1, LLC today announced the launch of Andretti Motorsports.com
www.andrettimotorsports.com , a web site dedicated to fantasy auto racing
games. Andretti Motorsports will allow race fans to form and manage their
own fantasy CART, NASCAR, or F1 team(s) and compete head-to-head with
thousands of other race fans around the world for the chance to win big
cash and prizes.Participants not only get to choose their own team of real race drivers, they get to make changes to it every week, bringing an element of both skill and luck. Fantasy Racing, like Fantasy Football and Fantasy Baseball, gives fans something personal to really cheer about each race weekend as each team scores points based on how well the real drivers they picked perform.
"When Fantasy Racing1 proposed this idea to me, I was intrigued with the concept," said Andretti. "It really engages the fans in the sport and it's fun to play. It gives them a sense of ownership and control of their own team. Just like real racing, it takes a little bit of luck and skill to win the big prizes. It gives me a great deal of satisfaction to know that these games will make this sport we all love that much more enjoyable. We created the game(s) with the race fan in mind."
Unlike any other fantasy racing game, Andretti Motorsports offers three games in one. Players may choose to participate in the rough and tumble NASCAR Winston Cup series, the exciting CART FedEx series or the electrifying Formula 1 world championship, or if you are up to Mario's challenge, compete against other owners in all three series.
Andretti Motorsports chose to offer three games because NASCAR, CART and F1 represent the pinnacle of motorsports worldwide, and Mario Andretti is the only driver to have raced and won the premier events in all three. Mario won NASCAR's biggest prize, the Daytona 500 in 1967. He won Champ Cars' biggest prize, the Indy 500 in 1969 (and the national championship four times). In 1978 he won F1's big prize, the World Driving Championship.
"All three racing series mean something special to me," said Andretti. "I have fond memories and made a lot of friends around the world while racing in NASCAR, CART and F1. For me to be a part of this project offering games for fans in all three series is really great. I hope every fan gives these games a try and I look forward to meeting the winners."
AndrettiMotorsports.com is a division of FantasyRacing1, LLC located in Louisiana. Founded in 2000, the company specializes in online auto racing entertainment.
