ARCA: Control Racing to Test in Daytona

Control Racing of Cherryville, NC announced today that driver Rusty Wise will attend a test session at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida. The team will be testing an ARCA Ford Thunderbird on December 15, 16, & 17th under the direction of NASCAR Winston Cup Driver Jimmy Means.
Control Racing has teamed up with Means Racing located in Forest City, NC for the December test. Rusty will be driving a car which has won on the NASCAR Winston Cup Series.
"It's great to get into a Winston Cup car of this caliber", said Wise.
The ARCA Re/Max Series will be competing in Daytona on February 11, 2001 for the Discount Auto Parts ARCA 200. The ARCA cars are identical to NASCAR Winston Cup cars except for the tires in which ARCA runs Hoosier where Winston Cup cars run Goodyear tires.
The ARCA Re/Max Series covers 14 Eastern states with events mostly consisting of one mile or larger tracks such as Daytona, Charlotte, Michigan, Pocono, etc. For more information on Control Racing or the ARCA series see www.controlracing.com
