Ft. Worth, Texas--Sonntag Racing has announced that B.A. Wilson has asked for, and was given his unconditional release from the No. 73 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team.

"We will certainly miss working with B.A. Hes a good driver, a terrific person, and we all worked extremely well together. We wish him well in his future endeavors in the corporate world." said team owner Joey Sonntag.

Wilson had been with the team since the final race of the 1999 season, and had participated as a driver in the NCTS in 31 races over three seasons with career earnings in excess of $250,000. Wilson also showed outstanding potential in the series with top ten finishes at the inaugural Chicago event this year as well as at the June race at Texas Motor Speedway.

In spite of losing Wilson, Sonntag Racing plans to move forward with preparations to run the 2001 NCTS season. They believe that the team can continue to improve and are actively seeking a new driver for the No.73.

Berryman Chemtool will be back as the primary sponsor for several key races in 2001 and will be on the truck as an associate in other events.
