Matt Kenseth will be driving the same car he raced at the spring Rockingham and Martinsville races. This will be Matt's first time at Homestead Speedway in a Winston Cup car.
Matt had his fifth DNF of the season at Phoenix last weekend. Kenseth ran over something, blowing his right front tire and sending him into the wall. The accident ended Matt's day with only 53 laps completed.
Kenseth continues to lead in the Rookie of the Year point standings, claiming a 28-point lead over Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Matt Kenseth's Thoughts on Miami
"I have always enjoyed competing at Homestead. It's nice to race in a warm climate in November. We've been real good there in a Busch Series car except last year we were involved in an accident on the first lap. I have never been to Miami in a Winston Cup car, so that may be interesting. Last weekend was a disappointment being involved in an accident so early in the race. I am ready to have a good race weekend and bring the DEWALT Ford home with a top ten finish."
