SCORE: Expression to Sponsor Molly Morter in the SCORE Tecate Baja 2000

CHICAGO-Expression, a new line of pressure sensitive
overlaminates, mounting adhesives and specialty films from Venture Coating
Technologies, has announced its sponsorship of Molly Morter and her team
for
the Race of the Millennium, the SCORE Tecate Baja 2000. When the green
flag
drops on November 12th, Expression will become a part of the longest
desert
race in North America, approximately 1,750 miles in its entirety. Morter, an off road champion in the CORR Series and one of the only women in the field, has been selected as the lead driver for the team of five, which includes her brother, Andy Morter, who is also an off road champion. The other drivers on the team include Chris Raffo, Gerald Foster, and Dennis Chencharick
The fifth and final race in the 2000 SCORE Desert Series, the once-in-a-lifetime Tecate SCORE Baja 2000 will start in Ensenada, 65 miles south of San Diego. After criss-crossing the Baja California peninsula like the shoelaces on racing shoes, the SCORE Baja 2000 will finish in Cabo San Lucas in Baja California Sur, the southernmost tip of the unforgiving Baja. The team estimates their class, a short wheel base production vehicle, will finish the race between 50-60 hours, maintaining an average speed of 80 mph.
Molly, the 1998 CIORA Women's World Champion, is excited for her first endurance race of her career. "This race is an opportunity of a lifetime, we've got a great team, and I'm proud to have Expression on board with us. This will be the toughest thing I've ever put myself up to, but I'm confident we'll come through with flying colors," said Morter.
This sponsorship of Morter's team will be Venture Coating Technologies' first endeavor with motorsports marketing, in hopes of creating national and international presence and brand push.
