Jeff Green, driver of the No. 10 Nestle NesQuik Chevrolet, is the defending pole and race winner for the Sam's Town 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park.

"I'm ready to go back and do it all over again," said Green reffering to his pole and win last year at Memphis. "Memphis is a lot like Richmond; it is a short track with slight banking and I've always done pretty well on the short tracks. I love short track racing because you can rub on each other and get away with it. You can't rub too hard though, because you won't get to victory lane if you don't have all your fenders on at the end."

On the Championship: Green will clinch his first NASCAR Busch Series Championship by taking the green flag for Sunday's Sam's Town 250 at Memphis. Green is seeking to break many records with his championship this year. First, he is on pace to break the record for largest points margin at the end of the season. Currently, Green sits 536 points ahead of second-place, Jason Keller. To date, the largest points margin at the end of the season was 426 points, scored by Sam Ard over Jack Ingram in 1984. Secondly, with Green clinching the championship this weekend, he and his older brother David, will become the first brothers in the history of the NASCAR Busch Series to win the championship title.

"I'm really happy about this championship, but I won't think about it until after the race is over this weekend," said Green. "Our focus this weekend is winning the pole and winning the race because I know we are capable of repeating what we did last year. It didn't really set in that we were going to actually win the championship until we left Charlotte earlier this month, when I knew we only needed 29 points to clinch the title."

Equipment: The NesQuik Racing team is taking Green's favorite car to Memphis. Green nicknamed this car "Bonus" because everytime they have run the car this year, the team has gotten a bonus because of the finish. This car won at South Boston, Myrtle Beach and Milwaukee earlier this year, and it finishied third at IRP and second at Richmond in the fall.

Goals Set: Green and his NesQuik Racing team's goals at the beginning of the season were to double their poles and wins from 1999 and win the 2000 NBS title.

"We won three poles and got three wins last year and this year we wanted to double that number of wins and poles, plus win the championship," said Green. "We've had our six poles for awhile now and with our win at Rockingham last weekend, we finally got our sixth win of the season. At Memphis, we will complete all our goals this year by clinching the championship. You can't ask for better than that!"

Wins from the Pole: Green is currently ranked fourth on the list for number of wins from the pole, behind Sam Ard (9), Mark Martin (9) and Tommy Ellis (8). Green will attempt to score his sixth win from the pole at Memphis this weekend.
